We pay our respects to the Wathaurong People on whose land we meet and to their Elders, past, present and future.
At That Happy Place, we welcome you, as you are and where you are.
Trauma has touched the lives of many, particularly in recent times, and research offers us much in way of practices that can support the integration of your healthy adult self with those parts of you that may feel wounded or broken.
From before time we could recognise it in the heart, couldn't we? We knew that living from "That Happy Place" within ourselves is what we want. These days we also have the scientific research to prove the vast positive effect this approach can have in our day to day lives. Through years of training and experience, we, at That Happy Place, have carefully honed the skills to bring this scientific research into the everyday experience of people across the board.
All people, from all walks of life, all ages, preferences and abilities

Living with a person with a disability or mental health concern can bring great wonder and joy to life, it can also have some added challenges and supporters and siblings need support too. With support from the comfort of your own home, we bring you an experience of finding helpful strategies to balance all that life asks of you in the best way you can manage on any given day.
If you are in need of a support worker, we also may be able to help.
We assist families and support workers in maintaining their balance of self care while supporting their dear ones.
We also offer bespoke respite services for a limited number of families.
Experience the power of deep, regular support through our bespoke Behavioural Respite Weekends where you, as carer, can drop into your own replenishment whilst knowing your loved one is being engaged and expanded and enjoyed.
Experience a gentle introduction to your worker and to the space, and look forward to regular, monthly respite tailored to your loved ones needs as your loved one engages in creative activities designed to introduce them to independent living skills, enhanced relating and moving powerfully but gently, at a pace they can cope with, toward their NDIS goals.
Hypnotherapy can be useful in bringing about changes to the way we experience our day to day lives, by utilising naturally occurring trance states to assist in offering Psychological therapies in a way that is more easily digestible by the brain. In this way the brain can begin to make new neural pathways and make the changes you have been hoping for.
Through Hypnotherapy and CBT we endeavour to support you to bring about lasting, measurable, healthy change so that you can live the life you want to live.
Self managed and Plan Managed NDIS participants are eligible to access our services under their funding.

Through experience, many of us have come to a place where our bodies are holding all kinds of tensions and emotional traumas...through experiencing this trauma informed Massage practice in a safe and sacred space, we can begin to retrain our neural pathways , and to evoke our Central Nervous System to relax, to heal and to begin to trust in life once more...like a small child experiencing healthy support.
As one regular patron, Misty, put it, "There is something absolutely magical about the massage treatment I received from Mia. I melted on the table and was able to feel completely held, safe and deeply relaxed. I could describe it almost as if she was massaging my soul! Absolutely incredible! Thank you so much"
And R's reaction was "I feel like a goddess"
With compassion, with kindness to ourselves, with a willingness to gently reparent the parts of ourselves that need healing we can begin to experience a sense of recapturing our innocence, and begin to settle our central nervous system and learn to interact, rather than react with life and with others. Through meditation, mindfulness and the resources laid out in Behavioural Support theory, follow gentle instructions, or your own rhythm as you learn to embody self compassion and to listen to your own innate wisdom.
Stay posted for our next classes beginning again very soon! Stay tuned
If you would like to have us come to your event or workplace to teach mindfulness and meditation, drop us a line!
Combining regular therapies with the embodied approach enables us to move through our issues in a way that is supportive, self directed in safely held space, and transformative.
Neuroscience indicates that we are moving from a mind body connection and that when we move differently we begin to see the world differently.
As we use the methods researched over the past 80 years regarding developmental movement, somatic experiencing and total body connectivity, we begin to engage with ourselves and the world more fully.
If you would like to experience SDMT, we are currently offering free sessions while doing placement. Call now to arrange a time!
