We could all FEEL that inclusivity was the right way to go from a heart space and a moral place, now research shows that inclusivity and diversity effects business in ways you may not have expected....read on to learn those sexy statistics that show us those feelings were not unfounded, even from a business standpoint!
Every statistic represents a human being, and every human being represents someone who may be a customer, a work colleague or boss....being inclusive touches every aspect of your business AND makes a difference to the world we live in.
60% of Australians do not have a disability or long term health condition.... and yet 1 in 5 Australians have experienced race-hate speech and 11 in 100 may have a diverse sexual or gender orientation..
let's face it, inclusivity affects us all!
If you're not learning from a diverse pool of people, well...you're running behind!
Studies show that inclusivity and diversity within the work place, enhances productivity and yes, profitability...which is a win for everyone concerned. Businesses with healthy D&I strategies are 35% more likely to have above average returns and showed a business performance increase of up to 31%. WHY? Because Diverse people bring Diverse ideas!
When we embrace D&I we create a safe and happy environment for people to shine...and an Oxford study has shown that happy workers are 13% more productive and iOpener research suggested happy workers stay in their jobs 4 times longer and commit twice as much time to tasks than their unhappy couterparts
There are so many reasons to create a plan for D&I in your business at every level of your business and in every area, we haven't even got to how important it is for your customers/clients to feel heard and understood and welcomed-
- so what are you going to do about it?
How will you show your employees and clients that you are serious about diversity and inclusion?
We can work at this together- firstly by creating a unique Diversity and Inclusion plan for your business model and secondly by offering a workshop that supports your employees to both hear others and to feel heard....
How do we access this?
Contact us!
What is the process?
1. We meet at an appointed time at your workplace to talk about your business and where things may need adjusting to better meet your employees and customers
2. Next we arrange for a meeting for your employees to attend a workshop in order to dive into the true beauty of diversity and inclusion. We also are given valuable information through this process about what the employees feel they need to have a happier workplace in a relaxed, non-threatening environment.
3. Lastly, we offer you recommendations for future improvement based on our time with your employees and their expressed needs.
