Hi there, I’m Mia, I’m a Somatic Dance and Movement Therapist and a regular Event Coordinator for longer than it's polite to mention. I am also a sensorally sensitive human with a particular interest in expanding the experience of people with disabilities, anxiety and trauma related conditions through trauma informed safe space and connected activities both at work and for play.
At That Happy Place, we take a comprehensive approach to inclusion that considers all aspects of your event, and the experience of your stakeholders through a somatic approach, enhancing the overall experience for all of your patrons. I want to take this moment to stand with First Nations People, to pay honour to their Elders, past, present and emerging, and to acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded. In particular, I acknowledge the Wadawurrung people on whose land I live, work and dance on.
